Lors des passages de grades Kyokushin, la casse de planches est une épreuve obligatoire.
Elle permet de tester la force, la technique et la force mental du pratiquant.
L'organisation européenne de Kyokushin a mis en place un programme en fonction du grade:

             Size of the boards: 26cm high, 24cm wide and 2cm tick

Tameshi-wari Examinations till 16 years

1st Kyu:      1 board with Seiken en 2 boards with Mae geri


1st Dan:      Boys total 5 boards with 3 free techniques 

                   Girls total 4 boards with 3 free techniques



Tameshi-wari Examinations from 16 years and up

                  Candidates will have a free choice how many boards per technique, bud they have to fulfil the total amount of boards!

1st Kyu:    Men: 2 boards with Seiken  and 2 boards with Mawashi geri
                  Woman: 1 board with Seiken and  2 boards with Mawashi geri

1st Dan:       Men: 7 boards with 3 techniques
                 Woman: 5 boards with 3 techniques
                 Techniques: Seiken / Mae geri / Mawashi-geri

2nd Dan:   Men: 8 boards with 3 techniques
                 Woman: 6 boards with 3 techniques
                 Choice: Seiken / Mawashi-geri / Yoko-geri / Empi (standing)

3rd Dan:   Men: 10 boards with 4 techniques
                 Woman: 8 boards with 4 techniques   
           Obliged: Ushiro Mawashi geri
           Choice: Seiken / Shuto / Mae geri / Mawashi geri / Yoko- geri / Empi (standing)

4th Dan:   Men: 12 boards with 5 techniques
                 Woman: 10 boards with 5 techniques
           Obliged: Ushiro Mawashi geri             
           Choice: Seiken / Shuto /  Mae-geri / Mawashi-geri / Yoko geri / Empi (standing)
